Michael Stanton grew up in the streets he loves to write about and has once played in the game of street survival. He is a man striving to survive in a complex world; a man with the ability to dream and to turn his desires into his accomplishments. He has not always done the right things in life but he can honestly say he has carried his burdens like a king carries his kingdom. He thoroughly stands on principle. The pain in his life has delivered a profound understanding to his heart and mind but instead of allowing it to destroy him, it has furnished him with knowledge. His baptism has not been by water or the Holy ghost but by fire. He had to go through hell in order for him to come out right. He is a writer and it has taken him years to believe in the power or words. He wants to teach because he has been a student of what he teaches. He is the author of Baptism By Fire Part I and II and Promise Part I. He is also a freelance writer for major mystery, horror and romance magazines.
The book is a work of urban fiction. It is based on the character Don Starchild who fooled the world that he was dead in a shoot out with police which played out on prime time television. His friend took over the empire he had built and stepped in as the father-figure for Don's son. In the meantime Don reemerged as the leader of a famous drug cartel while still being haunted by his second death but not before it was revealed that he was alive, leading to another show down with the police.
