The creator of this journal is Jalani Brown, she is a young, outgoing Philadelphia native who comes from Jamaican descendant. Writing has always been her outlet, she has expressed that it even saved her life because growing up she was bullied and didn’t have many friends and she didn’t know how to express herself so she started journaling and in doing so she found a friend in writing. She has since been journaling for years and has written several poems, screenplays, short stories and is working on her first novel. One of her life goals is to become a Motivational speaker to help young teens who need help expressing what they're going through, to find a healthy outlet such as writing. For years, she has always wanted to be a nurse because she had a love for helping and caring for people but soon after entering the industry she found it wasn’t at all what she expected. She realized that what she searched for in nursing, she was able to provide with her words. So she dropped out of nursing school to follow her life’s purpose as a writer and entrepreneur.
Pages For Thought: A Journal For Self Expression was birthed from my own love of journaling. The purpose of this simple and non-intrusive journal is to help those who have trouble sorting out their feelings and emotions. Journaling is a way of healing through the release of energy that comes from your pen touching that lined paper. There is nothing more therapeutic than dropping off the heavy load that you’ve been carrying. What makes Pages For Thought different from other journals? It was formulated with love and empathy. In one of the first pages of the book, I wrote a letter to inspire free thought and acceptance. I know you will enjoy this simple yet, unique journal and take it with you everywhere you go in this life!
